Celebrating 30 Years Erasing Homelessness

In 1982, Milwaukee churches addressed homelessness by supporting a “drop-in” center for homeless men. It was immediately apparent that these men needed more than a cup of coffee and a checkerboard. From this, a premier advocate agency rose to fight the causes of homelessness. For more information, click here.

The Guest House currently provides shelter for 86 adult men per evening. It is the largest publicly funded emergency shelter in Milwaukee. The Guest House of Milwaukee, Inc. is a nonprofit organization; it is a 501(c)(3) corporation and all donations are tax-deductible. You may make a secure, online financial donation to the Guest House at any time.

The Guest House is a proud member of United Way of Greater Milwaukee. United Way raises funds through workplace-giving campaigns to support local charities. You can support the Guest House through United Way in your workplace-giving campaign.

Testimonials

"I’m in recovery and moved into my apartment December 9, 2010. At that time I was 11 months clean. On January 21, 2012 it was three years clean and sober. I got my job that I work at today when I was in treatment. Today I don’t have to be homeless and am thankful for the Guest House."
