The Guest House of Milwaukee is a not-for-profit organization. Our mission is to provide shelter, housing, education, and services to Milwaukee's homeless who seek to transform their lives with dignity and purpose.
We offer programs and services designed to address the full spectrum of homelessness, from prevention, to shelter, clinical services, permanent housing, and long-term case management.
Since 1982, the Guest House of Milwaukee has been leading the community in providing More Than Shelter by ending the cycle of homelessness in our clients' lives.
The Guest House serves over 1,500 individuals and families on an annual basis and has expertise in assisting some of the most at-risk and under-resourced members of our community – those who struggle with mental illness, those working to overcome addiction, those with disabilities (physical, cognitive, etc.), those with history with the criminal justice system, and those who are considered to be chronically homeless.
The Guest House welcomes individuals and families who are progressing through various stages of recovery and has a proven track record of being able to assist even those with the most severe challenges to regain and maintain independence.
We are a model of innovation, we want to set the new standard of dignity and shelter.
