The Guest House of Milwaukee’s Prevention and Rapid Re-housing programs help prevent men and women from falling into the cycle of homelessness or help bridge an income gap for those in the early stages of the spectrum of homelessness.
We do outreach and provide financial assistance to those at risk of losing their permanent housing. Our Rapid Rehousing team works with men and women to secure housing, though financial assistance and case management, so their time experiencing homelessness is significantly reduced.
Our many housing programs help more than 450 Milwaukee County men, women, and families secure a permanent place to live. They all include one-on-one case management to ensure that participants maintain secure, affordable housing and we connect them to community resources to support their independence.
Case managers work with men, women, and families to create a person-centered service plan with the primary goal of maintaining or acquiring long-term, permanent housing. These service plans address individualized client goals in areas such as education, employment, medical care, mental health care, and sobriety.
