In 1982, Milwaukee churches addressed homelessness by supporting a “drop in” center for homeless men. It was immediately apparent that these men needed more than a cup of coffee and a checkerboard. From this, a premier advocate agency rose to fight the causes of homelessness. For more information, click here.

The Guest House currently provides shelter for 86 adult men per evening. It is the largest publicly funded emergency shelter in Milwaukee. The Guest House of Milwaukee Inc., is a not for profit organization. We are a 501 (c) (3) corporation and all donations are tax deductible. You may make a secure, online financial donation to The Guest House at anytime.

The Guest House is a proud member of Community Shares of Greater Milwaukee. Community Shares raises funds through workplace-giving campaigns to support 50 local charities in the areas of social change, economic justice and environmental progress.
