Who We Are
Located on North 13th Street between Juneau and McKinley Avenues in the King Park neighborhood, Guest House of Milwaukee has been leading our community in ending the cycle of poverty in our clients' lives for more than forty years.
Philosophy
Our guests and clients come first - ensuring their future success inspires and motivates our every action as we work to achieve our vision of erasing homelessness in the city of Milwaukee.
MORE THAN SHELTER
We supply our guests with more than just short-term basic needs by identifying a path forward to becoming a productive member of society.
Values
At Guest House, we are grateful for the impact that we are able to make, not only on those we serve through our programs, but also on the hundreds of friends, volunteers, and donors who pass through our doors and make their own unique contribution. For that reason we remain committed to the following values, all of which are critical to upholding our organization's culture and fulfilling our mission each and every day.
RESTORING LIVES
From the moment an individual enters our shelter, we begin the process of restoring hope and purpose to his or her life.
PERSONAL JOURNEYS
We acknowledge that each individual we serve is working to overcome his or her own unique obstacles while setting personal goals to achieve.
DIGNITY
We strive to set the standard for treating everyone we serve with dignity.
LEADERSHIP
We are proud of the growth we've experienced, which is only possible as a result of committed leadership.
RICH HISTORY
We remain committed to building upon our strong tradition of implementing innovative programs and services.
